Happy Leap Day!
I always try to do something special with this day that feels like a bonus. Do you have any fun Leap Day traditions?
Since it’s the last day of the month, I wanted to share some of my favorite things I discovered in February!
First off, we’ve been listening to Mavis Staples’ new album, Livin’ on a High Note. Still wish we could have her over for dinner sometime. Maybe someday.
I had never heard about Yosemite’s annual “firefall”, but I’m glad I do now! Check out these images and the story behind why it happens.
If you are looking for something new for your walls, here’s a great resource list of free printables. From nature prints, to maps and vintage posters, it’s a really great list of links!
A booklover’s way to disguise a router.
I don’t think I will be able to convince my husband that this is a good idea, but I really like these rugs that look like rolling pastures or heavenly moss.
After removing tens of hundreds of carpet staples this week, and listening to a dozen different people’s advice, I have an opinion. I finally discovered that it is possible to pull staples even if you are not the incredible hulk and don’t want to experience early onset arthritis. File this away for future reference, my friends. Best $12.60 I have spent in years.
Clearly, I’ve got home improvement on my mind as that’s been our all-consuming project lately. But in other news…
I enjoyed watching A Ballerina’s Tale, the documentary about Misty Copeland, principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. It’s currently on Netflix. And if you haven’t caught this yet, check out the series of portraits she did in the style of Degas paintings. Such a lovely idea.
How about you? Did you discover anything interesting this month? Send me an email. I’d love to know.
So many things I love about this post, Annie! Those free printables are quite the find!
Thanks, Ashley! I know, I don’t have enough wall space for all the things I’ve found in that treasure trove 🙂
